Trainee Paralegal Family - Sleaford

We are a forward thinking, progressive and dynamic organisation. As part of our continuing growth plans, we are currently seeking to recruit a Trainee Paralegal to join our Family team at Sleaford.

The role:

The ideal candidate will hold/be working towards a degree in Law or CILEX qualification, have a real passion for family work and a good level of experience/knowledge in this area.

In addition, you will work with the departments Marketing Policy to promote and enhance the good reputation and business of the company, build relationships and client base. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Client liaison and assisting with enquiries;
  • Attendance upon clients in appropriate circumstances
  • Research
  • Attendance at Court with Counsel
  • Production of legal documents, for example Statements, Court bundles (using appropriate software)
  • Supporting all Lawyers within the Department across all offices with a particular emphasis on providing support for the Family lawyer in the Sleaford office.

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 9am – 5.15pm (36.25)
Location: Sleaford
Salary: Depending on Experience

Word processing skills.

Working towards a Law Degree/CILEX Qualification

Experience within a Law Firm

Experience within Family Department

Knowledge

Good computer literacy, including knowledge of case management systems.

Understanding of Family Matters including divorce and finances, Private Law Children work, Nuptial Agreements, Applications for Injunctive relief.
