Four-legged friends looking for their forever home took centre stage at the Ladies Time 2 Chatt event at the Newark office last month where guests were greeted by two kittens and a dog in need of adoption.
Chattertons Partner, Amanda Voakes said: “The Time 2 Chatt events are really growing in popularity, with more and more local women coming together to network and have fun. The addition of Lola the dog and the two gorgeous kittens certainly pulled on everyone’s heartstrings, but there was also a serious side, reminding us all that adoption could really change an animal’s life.”
“We’ve worked hard to create an informal, fun and friendly place for professional women to come along and meet like-minded women, while also learning about and supporting charitable causes, and finding out how we can improve our community. We’ve already started planning for our next Time 2 Chatt event, which will take place later this year.”
More than 20 women attended the session which had a British summertime and Wimbledon theme. Guests at the event were served tea and cream cakes before enjoying a craft session where they learnt how to make fabric owl keyrings. Previous activities have included playdough moulding and chocolate tasting.
Samantha Gabbitass, who is a Solicitor and Training Officer at Chattertons, said: “The Time 2 Chatt event is such a simple idea, but it works. Each event includes a fun practical element, but it’s also a great opportunity to network with like-minded women, and also learn about the work a local charity does.
“Pet adoption is certainly not something I would have ever considered before but meeting the charity representatives and hearing how we could make a difference has certainly made me give it some serious thought.”
Our staff also took the opportunity to chat to their visitors about the vital work they do involving wealth management matters such as investments, inheritance tax planning, pension and retirement planning.
