Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance is the Chattertons 2020 Charity of the Year

We are pleased to announce that Chattertons Charity of the Year 2020 is the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, one of the UK's leading Helicopter Emergency Medical Service Charities. Each year our staff at Chattertons select a charity to support for the upcoming year, and do various activities throughout the year to raise money for our chosen charity.

The Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance is a vital service for when just a few moments could mean the difference between life and death. First established in 1994 they have flown over 20,400 life-saving missions, approximately 3 missions every day and this number is only set to rise. Relying solely on donations to support the work that they do, this incredible charity are committed to expanding their service to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Katherine Bunting, Partner and Head of the Charity Committee at Chattertons, said "We are delighted that our staff have voted for such a worthwhile cause as the life-saving work that they do is so important to our local area. All of us here at Chattertons are keen to get involved and we hope to go above and beyond our £10,000 target"

Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance estimate it costs £7,500 for every mission that is taken on and a total of £4 million a year to keep the helicopter operational 24 hours a day. These astonishing numbers highlighted to us just how important it was to support them as our charity for the upcoming year, and put our team to work to help to raise funds for a service that plays such a vital role in saving lives.
